Description
Fundado em junho de 1992, o Herbário Pe. Dr. Raulino Reitz (CRI) da Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense (UNESC), obteve seu registro junto ao Index Herbariorum em 7 de agosto de 1997. Composto por amostras de plantas preservadas, catalogadas e organizadas sistematicamente, a coleção do Herbário (CRI) é uma referência da flora do sul de Santa Catarina. As exsicatas concentram-se no Bioma Mata Atlântica, nas regiões fitoecológicas presentes no sul de Santa Catarina, ou seja, Formação Pioneira de Influência Marinha (Restinga), Flores Ombrófila Densa (Floresta Atlântica) e Floresta Ombrófila Mista (Floresta com Araucária).O Herbário CRI dá suporte para o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Ambientais (PPGCA) da UNESC. Contribui também para a formação de pesquisadores, recebendo em suas instalações bolsistas de Iniciação Científica, Mestrado e Doutorado que executam seus projetos sob orientação de docentes pesquisadores.
