Description

Herbarium Collection of the Ceará Federal University\Brazil. The Herbarium EAC was founded in 1939 by Prof. Prisco Bezerra. Is recorded in the Index Herbarium since 1981, and is inserted between the institutions accredited as Custodian of the Genetic Heritage Component samples with the Ministry of the Environment (MMA) since 2003. Currently the herbarium has 59.000 specimens of algae, bryophytes, ferns, gymnosperms and angiosperm. The collection of typus is represented by 100 samples. All this valuable collection is computerized in Brahms (Botanical Research and Herbarium Management Software).
