Description

O Herbário Norte Mineiro (MCCA) é uma coleção biológica que tem como missão o desafio de catalogar a diversidade vegetal da região norte de Minas Gerais. Para isso, esta coleção realiza o tombamento e conservação de espécimes vegetais, oferece suporte no processo de identificação, envia materiais para especialistas, em outros herbários, e disponibiliza os dados da coleção, inclusive imagens das exsicatas, em plataformas online. Além disso, com o apoio desse herbário são desenvolvidas pesquisas e projetos, de graduação e pós-graduação, para o reconhecimento e uso da flora em todas as formações vegetais da região norte do estado.
