Description
O Herbário VIES foi fundado pelo Professor Oberdan José Pereira em 1982, data das primeiras coletas em áreas de Restinga de Guarapari e Vila Velha, sendo de lá o maior número de exsicatas existentes hoje no seu acervo. A coleção foi institucionalizada pela Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo no ano de 1991.Está credenciado junto ao Conselho de Gestão do Patrimônio Genético (CGEN) como fiel depositário, integra o INCT Herbário Virtual da Flora e dos Fungos e o REFLORA. O acervo é composto por fanerógamas, fungos, algas, briófitas e samambaias.
