Description
The RFFP Herbarium is affiliated with the Department of Sciences at the Faculty of Teacher Education of UERJ. Established in 1997, it holds approximately 22,000 registered exsiccatae. The collection primarily focuses on the flora of the Atlantic Forest in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The most well-represented municipalities in the collection include Angra dos Reis, Engenheiro Paulo de Frontin, Itaboraí, Maricá, Magé, Niterói, Nova Iguaçu, São Gonçalo, and Santa Maria Madalena. The collection has been digitized and is available online.

O Herbário RFFP está vinculado ao Departamento de Ciências da Faculdade de Formação de Professores da UERJ. Foi criado em 1997 e possui cerca de 22 mil exsicatas registradas. A representação da coleção tem seu foco, principalmente, a flora da Mata Atlântica do estado do Rio de Janeiro. Os municípios fluminenses mais bem representados na coleção são Angra dos Reis, Engenheiro Paulo de Frontin, Itaboraí, Maricá, Magé, Niterói, Nova Iguaçu, São Gonçalo e Santa Maria Madalena. Encontra-se informatizada e disponibilizada na internet.
