Description
O herbário FCAB tem cerca de 6.500 registros, predominantemente de plantas vasculares mas também com algumas amostras de musgos, algas, fungos e liquens. A coleção encontra-se atualmente informatizada e em breve iniciara o processo de digitalização das amostras. A criação do curso de Ciências Biológicas na PUC-Rio, em 2011, deu nova dimensão a coleção, tornando-a mais dinâmica ao incorporar muitas novas amostras provenientes de coletas realizadas pelos professores e alunos do curso. A inclusão na estrutura organizacional do Departamento de Biologia, sua adesão, em 2014, ao INCT Herbário Virtual da Flora e dos Fungos e, neste ano, aos SiBBr e GBIF restabeleceu o pleno funcionamento, incluindo a visita de especialistas e estudantes de pós-graduação.

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 8,654 records.
