Description
O Herbário Rosa Mochel (SLUI) do Departamento de Biologia da Universidade Estadual do Maranhão (UEMA) foi fundado em 1988 com o objetivo de abrigar o material botânico coletado e atender as aulas práticas do Curso de Agronomia. Desde 2009 o herbário SLUI está registrado na Rede Brasileira de Herbários (Sociedade Botânica do Brasil) e no Index Herbariorum desde 2017; o acervo atual é de mais de 8.600 espécimes de angiospermas, oriundas principalmente do Estado do Maranhão, de áreas de floresta amazônica, cerrado e vegetação litorânea.
