Description
O Herbário Graziela Barroso (TEPB), da Universidade Federal do Piauí (UFPI) é subordinado ao Centro de Ciências da Natureza e vinculado (tecnicamente) ao Departamento de Biologia. Foi fundado em setembro de 1977, com o objetivo de abrigar o acervo botânico proveniente de coletas realizadas na região de Teresina e dos municípios piauienses. Conta com amostras de Angiospermas, Algas, Briófitas, Pteridófitas e fungos. Atualmente o acervo do TEPB é comporta aproximadamente 30382 espécimes. As coletas são na sua maioria, oriundas do Estado, em áreas de caatinga, cerrado, carrasco, áreas de transição, e de outros estados do Nordeste, como também, de outros países.
