Description
Founded in 2004, the HSTM Herbarium is a regional collection primarily comprising specimens from western Pará state. It holds significant collections of Solanaceae, ferns, and lycophytes, enhanced by material exchanges with other herbaria in Brazil and abroad. The entire collection database is accessible online through the JABOT platform (hstm.jbrj.gov.br), with images available for over two-thirds of the specimens—nearly 14,000 as of August 2021. HSTM serves as a reference collection for protected areas such as Floresta Nacional do Tapajós and Parque Nacional da Amazônia. The herbarium currently houses twelve type specimens, primarily isotypes and paratypes.

Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 11,122 records.
2 extension data tables also exist. An extension record supplies extra information about a core record. The number of records in each extension data table is illustrated below.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
