Description
The UNOP Herbarium is located in Cascavel, western Paraná, a region with a poorly known flora and close to important forest remnants, such as Iguaçu National Park. It is a scientific collection of dried, organized, and preserved plants. The collection includes specimens obtained through field collections and donations from partnerships established in research projects, with samples from other regions of Brazil and abroad. Currently, the herbarium holds a diverse collection, with a strong representation of Brazilian flora, especially from the families Rubiaceae, Fabaceae, Araceae, Asteraceae, Piperaceae, Melastomataceae, Myrtaceae, Orchidaceae, Solanaceae, and Bignoniaceae.

O Herbário UNOP está localizado no município de Cascavel, região Oeste do Paraná, uma área com flora pouco conhecida e próxima de remanescentes florestais importantes, como o Parque Nacional do Iguaçu. É uma coleção científica de plantas secas, organizadas e preservadas. A coleção reúne amostras coletadas e doações de parcerias estabelecidas em projetos, com coletas em outras áreas do Brasil e do exterior. Atualmente possui um acervo de diversos grupos mais representativos da flora brasileira, principalmente das famílias Rubiaceae, Fabaceae, Araceae Asteraceae, Piperaceae, Melastomataceae, Myrtaceae, Orchidaceae, Solanaceae e Bignoniaceae .
